Copy letters, summarised as 'On Report Parliamentary Committee of British Association'. Includes original letter from Wrottesley to Lyell, 7 May 1855. One of Lyell's drafts is written on the reverse of printed headed paper from The Royal Institution, Albemarle Street, thanking Lyell for the communcation of 'On the Train of Certain Erratic Blocks in Massachusetts US on April 27 last, and is signed by John Barlow, Secretary. This folder also include's Wrottesley's copy, sent to Lyell of the 'perposed' 'Report for the Parliamentary Committee of the British Association for the Advancement of Science on the question Whether any measures could be adopted by the Government or Parliament that would improve the position of Science or its Cultivators in this Country', .
