From a typed note pasted on the page: "Dymock, Thomas, M.A. Born at Kelso, 1804. Studied at the University, Glasgow. Ordained at Arbroath, 1837. Translated, 1838, to Carnoustie. Signed the Act of Separation and Deed of Demission. Married, 1839, Ruth Bentley, daughter of James Bentley, Professor of Oriental Languages, Aberdeen. Translated, 1845, to Perth, Middle. Became senior minister, 1881. Died, 1888." From a pencil inscription on the page: son of Rector Glasgow Grammar School (Cousin of James R. Dymock)".
