From a typed note pasted on the page: "Laird, Hugh, D.D. (Marischal College, Aberdeen). Born in Renfrewshire, 1764. Studied at the University, Glasgow. Ordained at Norrieston, 1801. Married, 1802, Elizabeth Blackhall. Translated to Portmoak, 1802. Signed the Act of Separation amd Deed of Demission. Died, 1849."
