Manuscript poetry and prose by Alexander ('Sandy') Morrison, 1905-1911
Scope and Contents
This item is a notebook containing manuscript poetry and prose by the Scottish Poet Alexander ("Sandy") Morrison. Several poems are dated between 1905 and 1911. The title or dedication page reads: “To Gladys Robb Latest Verses from, Sandy Morrison”. They consist of reflections on love, life and death, with poems written to family members and friends. There is a loosely inserted sepia toned photograph of a man in a Scottish regiment’s uniform of the period, including tartan trousers, which presumably is Sandy Morrison.
