Biographical / Historical
The Audit Committee was formally established by the Governing Council in June 2002 to monitor and advise the Council on appropriate standards for internal control and financial propriety, and to review matters connected with audit and the provision of assurance on financial controls. The Committee's remit replaced that of the former Finance and General Purposes Committee/Business Group.
