Biographical / Historical
Roslin Nutrition Ltd was established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Roslin Institute on 25 March 1997, as a means of exploiting in-house nutritional skills and milling capabilities. The company specialised in high quality trial diet manufacture and feedstuff evaluation, with a primary focus on the manufacturing of trial diets for poultry and pigs and the evaluation of diets and feed materials. Following a study by consultants Charles Kingdom and Associates, the feed mill at Roslin, which had been constructed during the 1970s, was replaced with a new mill designed to produce small batches of feed to an exacting specification.
