Biographical / Historical
Beale was awarded a three-year grant by the Medical Research Council in 1966 for a research project on 'the genetics of malaria parasites.' In 1968 the MRC awarded a supplementary grant to cover the expense of collecting additional strains of Plasmodium berghei from Africa. In 1969 an extension for a further three years was awarded.
