As well as the areas designated as Comprehensive Development Areas, London County Council Architect's Department had other development areas of importance. These were at the Quadrant Estate, Islington; the Loughborough Estate, Brixton; the Roehampton Estate; the Ackroyden Estate, Putney; the Brandon Estate, Southwark; the Priory at Blackheath and Bethnal Green.
