  1. Notes by Thomson regarding Hector's progress from 2 weeks to one year, 1917;

  3. Letter from Hector's headmaster acknowledging Thomson's cheque and regarding how Hector is settling in, 1924;

  7. 2 Record booklets for the Stanford Revision of the Binet-Simon tests filled in regarding Hector, 1921-1922.

Also includes a photocopied diary charting Hector Thomson's development from the age of 1-10, created by Thomson. This details the development of Hector's knowledge and intelligence, charting how he plays and learns day to day tasks; vocabulary he has acquired; performance in intelligence tests; personality traits; and general health and well-being. The diary reads as though it was compiled after observing Hector, rather than during, and contains information supplied by Lady Thomson and added by Thomson.
