Biographical / Historical
Andrew Graham Grieve was the brother of Christopher Murray Grieve (Hugh MacDiarmid). Both grew up in Langholm, Dumfriesshire. Letters between them show a fractious relationship. Their parents were James Grieve, a postman, who died in 1911 and Elizabeth (Graham) Grieve who died in 1934.
For a time Andrew Graham Grieve lived in Buccleuch Place, and in Liberton, Edinburgh, also in England, and in Cambuslang, Glasgow. His wife was Chryssie, and Morag and Angus their children.
