Photograph album entitled "Sunny Memories", inscribed by Thomas Arthur Nelson
Scope and Contents
This late nineteenth-century album contains 92 black-and-white photographs depicting family groups, individual portraits, and a small number of landscape views. An inscription on the front pastedown reads: "This book belonged to Arthur Nelson (for many years member of the Arts Club, Rutland Square)." This most likely refers to Thomas Arthur Nelson (1876-1917) of the publishing firm Thomas Nelson and Sons. If so, the individuals depicted in the album are likely to be members of the Nelson family.
