Calton Hill with the Old Jail (site of St. Andrew's House), Dugald Stewart's Monument, the Nelson Monument, and part of the Old Royal High School on the extreme right. Handwritten title by R. Dykes. A print from this glass plate negative was included in the "New Town of Edinburgh" and the "Monuments and Restorations" sections of Geddes' replacement "Cities and Town Planning Exibition".
