Scope and Contents
Gay Scotland was an independent, bi-monthly or monthly magazine, published by the Scottish Homosexual Rights Group, who were later renamed Outright Scotland. It contained articles of interest to the LGBT+ community, as well as paid advertising and information on LGBT+ friendly social spaces and events.
The first edition of the magazine was published in December 1981 and ran until 1997, after which there were no publications until a brief return from 2002-2003.
Editors of the magazine were Ian Dunn (1981-1987), John Hein (1989-1992), Dominic d’Angelo (1993-1997), and Andrew Wilson (2002-2003).
