This issue includes articles on: women’s safety; the removal of trees “in a bid to cut down cruising”; homophobic violence; the implications of the Child Support Act for lesbian and gay parents; John Young’s (Tory MP) anger at proposed lesbian and gay festival in Glasgow; Bill Clinton and the ban on homosexuals serving in the armed forces; the media’s coverage of the murder of Gordon Dunbar in Dundee, also named the “Lawhill” murder enquiry, and the inquiry in to an alleged “Magic Circle” of “high-ranking queers”; Edinburgh City Council’s “Zero Tolerance” campaign tackling male violence against women and children; and the history of body piercing; the Scottish AIDS Monitors goals for 1993.
