Scope and Contents

Contains the minutes of the meeting of 06/08/1978 where the following topics were discussed: membership and training updates; Young People's Group; joint meeting with other Scottish befriending groups and an update on the 'TV/TS' group.

Also attached is notes on a discussion from 15/08/1978 which focused on training befrienders.

Note: TV is an abbreviated form of the historical term transvestite used to describe individuals who wear clothes associated with a gender other than their gender assigned at birth, and TS is an abbreviated form of the term transsexual used to describe individuals whose gender identity is different from their assigned sex at birth.
