Scope and Contents

Correspondence received and sent by the Co-Ordinator of the Edinburgh Gay Switchboard relating to both EGS and Lesbian Line. Topics include: finances and fundraising; staffing (including new applications, requests for breaks from duties, and resignations); training and requests for speakers from external organisations; internal correspondence to the membership; advertising including a radio feature and leaflets; and issues with mail deliveries (Royal Mail).

External organisations represented include: Lothian AIDS Forum; London Gay Switchboard; Royal Edinburgh Hospital; Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh; Fife Friend; Mental Health Education Project, Inverness; Radio Forth; and Leith Community Drug Project.

Also included is correspondence from people seeking advice and information about Switchboard and the services they provide, including information about social events; and correspondence relating to a claim for zero-rating of VAT on electricity supply between Scottish Power and EGS.

A copy of the Edinburgh Gay Switchboard Code of Conduct is included along with proposed amendments.
