6 manuscript volumes belonging to James Gatt, Minister of Gretna (1700-1787). Collection divided into 4 sections:
1. Title page reads 'Jacobi Gathei. Exercitationes ministeriales. Gratinia [Gretna]. Anno Domini 1743, Januarii 31 die [31 January 1743]'. 395 numbered pages of latin text, with several previous shelfmarks on the front board.
2. Sermon series in two parts.Title page of first part (pages 1 - 242) reads:
'Of our Savioures Mediatory Kingdom [and] words. Part 1st. Written by James Gatt. Sermon 1st to be delivered No[v]ember 30th 1755. Graitney [Gretna].'
Title page of second part (pages 243 - 374) reads:
'Of our savioures Mediatory Kingdom [and] Words.Part II. Written by James Gatt. Sermon 1st to be delivered (at the Lord will,) Aprile 25th 1756 [25 April 1756]. Graitney [Gretna]'
With a contents page on the front end board, a folded leaf laid in at page 210, and previous shelfmarks evident on front flyleaf. From the General Assembly Library.
