Papers of John G. Gray, being Glass Slides of a Tour of Palestine, Egypt and Syria
The collection is composed of notes to accompany glass slides of Palestine, Egypt, and Syria. There are 54 slides contained in a wooden box. They show views of the region (architectural/geographical) and in what is now modern Israel, Palestine, Egypt and Syria. The writer of the notes is unknown. Within the notes too there is an envelope bearing the name Rev. Richard Bell D.D., an authority on Sanskrit.

The collection is in three main sections: (1) biographical and personal items including articles and papers by Dring about his life and work, diary entries from his voyage to Argentina, and two photographs (1911-1989); (2) news and prayer letters, some under the title of Chaco Grace (1935-1995); (3) and correspondence between Dring, his mission, supporters, fellow missionaries, and family (1936-1995).
