Sermons of William Fraser (1779-1853), Burgher minister at Alloa. Contents is mostly long hand, with sermons in shorthand.

Also contains statistics on the students in the Burgher Divinity Hall, Selkirk, 1798 from when Fraser was a student there under Dr. George Lawson. Fraser tracks their ordination status and service until 1818.

Volume is written in shorthand, apart from 19 leaves in Latin script at the back.

Presented to New College Library by Harper's granddaughter, Jean A. Hay Wilson, in 1923. Correspondence regarding the donation is laid in the front.

Manuscript book of sermons by Rev. Angus McBean, of the Free Gaelic Church, Greenock. 102 pages.

Sermons were begun on the 6 August 1826, and ended on the 11 February 1827. Individual entries are titled but not dated.

Volume title is written on the front board by Hugh Buie of Greenock. A third hand has added the dates 1821-1845 in pencil, presumably in reference to McBean's tenure as minister.
