Note, probably collected from Duncan MacNiven, retired schoolmaster, Airds, Earra Ghàidheal/Argyllshire, about how Loch Etive changed from being a lake during a storm stating that a 'narrow isthmus of gravelly soil' separately the lake from the sea at Connel but that this was breached during a storm. He notes that the isthmus stood where the Falls of Lora are now. Text has been scored through as if transcribed elsewhere.

Note about marks in a rock at Glac a' Bhodaich, South Uist [Uibhist a Deas]. The rock is at Glac a Bhodaich and is described as a 'flat sunfaced rock' with two marks 'as if done by a child a few y[ea]rs old in consistant mud - toes quite dist[inct]'. It also describes the situation of the rock.

Note about Sorchan a Ghille Hirstich [Sorachan a' Ghille Hiortaich] describing it as a big stone halfway between Paible and Aoi [Paibeil and Uidh, Tarasaigh/Taransay] with a comfortable seat in the back of it. The accompanying vocabulary note reads 'Eiteag. Eiteag na beinne = Spar rock'.
