It appears that images Coll-1167/B/26/13/4-7 are included to show an area of light industry on the northern edge of the New Town. Handwritten title by Alasdair Geddes. A print of this glass plate negative was exhibited in the "Strata of Edinburgh: Breakdown of Formal Plan" section of Geddes' replacement "Cities and Town Planning Exihibition." See Coll-1167/B/18.

Handwritten title on the original envelope containing the corresponding glass plate negatives was written by Alasdair Geddes. A print of the corresponding glass plate negative was exhibited in the "Strata of Edinburgh: Breakdown of Formal Plan" section of Geddes' replacement "Cities and Town Planning Exihibition." Likely to be a duplicate of a drawing by Bruce J. Home of Whitehorse Close, included in the "Old Houses in Edinburgh" (1904-1907). Whitehorse Close was restored by Dr Barbour at the suggestion of Patrick Geddes.

This must show the construction of, presumably, the main road linking London Road and Portobello Road, and Duddingston Road with Milton Road West, coming round the north-east side of Holyrood Park and Arthur's Seat. Handwritten title on the original envelope containing the corresponding glass plate negatives was written by Alasdair Geddes.
