Mews, George Square, c 1890-c 1910
George Square as seen from the south west corner of the square. Number 29 is on the right. This (west) side of the square, which contains number 25 where Sir Walter Scott was brought up, is still intact. The rest of it, except for those houses mentioned in the notes in Coll-1167/B/26/18/4, has been completely rebuilt. Handwritten title by R. Dykes.

Print of Milnes Court, High Street, Edinburgh. This was the title assigned to this item for a "Cities Exhibition" (1988), exhibit number 112. It is not clear to which exhibition this refers. A card is attached with title and number H.21. Pencilled note reads for exhibition 1954, Prof. P. Johnson-Marshall. Within the image background are visible the spire of Victoria Hall, St Johns Tolbooth Church) is visible in background. Number on back reads A1 - 112.
