A brief account of Jahāngīrnagar, or, as it is commonly called, Dacca, in Bengal, from the time of its conquest by Mughal Emperor Akbar the Great (r. 1556-1605 C.E.) to the niẓāmat or governorship of Husayn al-Dīn Khān, about the beginning of Mughal Emperor Shāh-‘Ālam's reign. It is stated that the account for this work has been extracted from the historical works on the great Mughal Emperors.

Scope and Contents This work (copied for the donor by one of the compilers from the holograph copy) is a short history of Kashmir from the earliest times. It was begun originally at the desire of some English officials by Mirzā Sayf al-Dīn, who held the post of record writer in Kashmir, and brought down by him to 1277 A.H. (1859 C.E.), but he died a year later. Some time after, the donor, on his appointment as British Agent in Kashmir, requested the brother and successor in office of the deceased, Mirzā Muḥyi...

An abridged official manual of the Indian Empire. The original was possibly drawn up in Mughal Emperor ‘Ālamgīr's (r. 1658 to 1707 C.E.) time. It contains an account of the allowances of the officials of various grades, names of Faṣlī months, revenues and area of the Empire, distance from Shāhjahānābād (Dehlī) to various places, and the divisions and revenues of a number of ṣūbahs (see more in Hukk et al catalogue).
