Two manuscript volumes on Scottish law by John Mein, c 1740-1810
Two manuscript volumes on Scottish law. The first one reads 'Treatise on Bills, [written] by John Mein Writer to the Signet'. The manuscript dates from c. 1740 and bears the ink ownership signature of Henry Home, later Lord Kames (1696-1782). The second manuscript just starts with the word 'Case' and describes a series of cases dating from 1760s-1810s.

Two manuscript volumes entitled "Equity Precedents - 1829" and "Equity Precedents - vol. 2". These appear to be handwritten notes about legal cases in the United Kingdom, with templates and commentaries.

Manuscript volume containing notes on law, with annotations in pencil in a different hand. This is the volume 2, starting on p. 293. Volume 1 is missing.
The volume is signed by 'William Thomson', in the same hand as the pencil annotations. The volume is likely to have belonged to him at one point.
