Notes on Miulay [Miùghlaigh/Mingulay] describing its bay as 'of an ampitheatre form...like an old-fash[ioned] military saddles (sic)'. Croc Conain and Creagan rua [Cnoc Conain, Creagan Ruadh] are noted as where the houses 'stood of old when the plauge (sic) came' adding 'Creag na h-aoinaig and Biola creag [Bual na Creige] are the same.'

Notes on Sorcha an Orfhuilt stating that Duncan Macdonald, Snaoisval [Sniseabhal/Snishival, Uibhist a Deas/South Uist] said that she was the girl who went amongst the deer and that Mr Alexander Campbell, priest at Bornish [Bornais] said that she was also called 'Fionna nam Fiadh'. There are question marks besides the name 'Binneach nam Fiadh'.

Notes on the ancestry of Lord [Alexander] MacDonald probably collected from Margaret MacDonald, Malacleit/Malaclete, Uibhist a Tuath/North Uist stating that he is the '6 glun' [generation] from Sir Seumas Ruadh noting that Raol Mac Shir Seumas [Raghnaill mac Shir Seumas] was a celebrated swordsman. Lachlan Monc [Monk or Mac a Mhanaich] 'says mort an Udail was before Bann[ock]burn'.
