Scope and Contents Fragment of a story about Calum Cille [St Columba] probably collected from Roderick MacNeil, aged 88, crofter, MiĆ¹ghlaigh/Mingulay which describes him as 'na dhuin[e] cruai[dh]' [a hard man]. A crowd of people were watering Calum Cille's crops when one man asked the housekeeper, who was baking, for some food. She refused him and then he asked for a piece of dough 'as ne Dia' [in the name of God?] and she said she could not refuse him. The man put the dough on the fire and it turned into...
