Biography

Guyart des Moulins was a medieval monk. He is famous for being the author of the Bible Historiale, the first Bible translation into French, including a French translation of Peter Comestor's Historia Scholastica.

It is a French translation of the Historia Scholastica of Petrus Comestor (which was originally in Latin), combined with the first full translation of the vulgate Bible into French.
