Scope and Contents

The photographs are mounted together on a cardboard frame, and are captioned 'Delius at Grez-sur-Loing, Gordon Bryan, 1927'. One photograph shows Frederick Delius sitting in a chair in his garden, with one of his German nurse reading to him; the second photograph shows a young man in the same garden who could be Percy Grainger (Australian-born composer, arranger and pianist who was a staunch admirer of Delius); and the third is just a overall view of the garden.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Found in a cupboard with orchestral part on the 3rd floor of the Main Library. It is possible that it was given as a gift when the Music Faculty was still in Allison House.
