Scope and Contents
Song entitled and beginning 'Mo ghaol, mo ghaol, mo ghaol fhein thu' collected from Ann Morrison née Ross, Rucaidh, Trumsgearridh N[orth] Uist [Knock Ruchgy, Trumaisgearraidh, Uibhist a Tuath/North Uist]. The accompanying story states that the song was 'composed by his father's "banachaig nan gobhar" to the heir of Rararsaidh, who afterwards became his wife, and who made an excellent wife'. A note in the margin states that Anna composed 'Thaining an Gille Dhubh'. Additions have been made to the text in pen and pencil.
