Scope and Contents
Poem entitled 'Fhir a Chruthaich Fhir a Chri' collected from Mairi Nicrath [Mary MacRae], Caolas Stiatair N h-Earradh [Caolas Stiadar/Sound of Stiadar, Na Hearadh/Harris] on 4 April 1876 beginning 'Fhir a chruthaich fhir (air?) fhir a chri, Chruthaich a chre air an t-sluagh'. Before the poem is a detailed description of Mary MacRae, including her appearance, her age and a little about her Kintail background. The text of the poem has been scored through in pencil and additions have been made to it in both pencil and ink.
