Song entitled 'Duan Callaig' [The Song of Hogmanay] collected from Gilleaspa Donullach [Gilleasbuig Dòmhnallach/Archibald MacDonald], Baileanloch [Baile Loch, Uibhist a Tuath/North Uist] beginning 'Nist o thainic sin an duaich, A dh ur[achadh] dhui[bh] na callaig'. The note states that the singers '3 times went round on the tota wall of hou[se] with a seice [hide] striking it per[haps] 12 persons.' Text has been scored through in ink as if transcribed elsewhere.
