Song entitled 'Duan Callaig' [The Song of Hogmanay or Heire Bannag or Hey The Gift] collected from Gilleaspa Moriston [Archibald Morrison], Staonabrig [Staoinebrig/Stoneybridge, Uibhist a Deas/South Uist] beginning 'Triuir a noc[hd] mar oi[dh]che chasga, Mar oi[dh]che bhuchain bhachain sgrios'. The song is composed of twenty-two lines and has been scored through in ink. Written transversely across the first page of text is 'Transcribed into Book No 3 page 98 A[lexander] A[rchibald] C[armichael].'
