Scope and Contents
Sketch plan and archaeological notes on Druim na h-Uamh Valacui [Druim na h-Uamha, Bhàlaig/Vallaquie, Uibhist a Tuath/North Uist], describing the remains of animals, pottery and half a quern found there. The quern is described as 'Granite much decayed & crumbling showing how long ago it [must] have made meal for its original owner.' The roof is overlapping and stones have broken as a result of the weight of sand above it, some three feet in depth. The sketch plan shows the dimensions of each part of the building in feet and inches.
