 Part

Contents

The last four folios of MS 149 contain copies of a document concerning forms of absolution, from between 1464 and 1471. ff. 30v-32v containing these documents are bound with the text parallel to the binding, different from the other text in this manuscript, and indeed from ff. 29r, 30v-32v.

F. 30r contains 12 lines of English and Latin verse, including As the moone taks of the soon light both far and also ner, So doith a Foole of a wyse man wytt by the which he shynys cler. Further down the folio, there is also a copy of a document dated at Stamford, 1481, concerning a Lincolnshire will. The text on this folio is orientated perpendicular to the binding (like the first 27 folios of MS 149), unlike the rotated orientation of the folios on either side of f. 30r.
