The correspondence is chiefly between Beatty and the Ford Foundation concerning the memorandum submitted by Beatty, Anne McLaren and David T. Baird for the establishment of a Centre for Reproductive Biology. Also present is correspondence with various other departments and individuals at the University of Edinburgh and papers regarding the visits to the University of Edinburgh from the MRC Sub-Committee on Reproductive Biology to the University of Edinburgh (May 1971), and the Ford Foundation (June 1971).
