Miscellaneous papers and letters, 18th century
Scope and Contents
A collection of miscellaneous papers and letters, most of which are handwritten, but there is printed text. Much of the content is in English, with some in Scottish Gaelic. There is no particular theme, which requires the documents to be kept together, although this is how they were historically held.
One of the letters is signed from P. Stuart, dated 26 April 1782. P. Stuart appears to be writing to his brother, Rev. John Stuart. The letter is requesting that Rev. John Stuart help a sick pensioner get admitted to the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh.
