Vocabulary list (no title), early 20th century

 Item
Identifier: Coll-98/5/9

Scope and Contents

A list of words, which may have been used to compile notes on Gaelic manuscripts, or was in preparation for a dictionary. As well as translations and explanations in English for most listed words*, there is a note of which manuscript and on which page of the manuscript the word can be found.

The word list starts at A: "a", meaning 'a height'. (Possibly ard supposed to be written?)

The word list ends at u: "uraceipt", which has no translation with it. [Searches in dictionaries and online corpora have yielded no results as to what this word might mean]

*Some words have no translations or explanations, suggesting that the list is incomplete
