The text contained on the final folios of MS 167, ff. 45r-55v, is called Incipit tractatus membrorum particularium et primum de dolore capitis (a tract on particular organs and foremost on pain in the head). There is no identifiable author, but Lynn Thorndike and Pearl Kibre include this text in their list of incipits of medieval scientific texts. This version in MS 167 of the Edinburgh University collection is the only version of the text mentioned by Thorndike and Kibre.

The tract begins on f. 45r, with the words Dolor igitur capitis et cetere... It ends imperfectly mid-line, on f. 55v, with et camphora et rosas haec omnia pul...

Writing

This final text contained in MS 167 is in the same third thirteenth-century hand as the text directly preceding it in the bound manuscript volume.
