Decretales Innocentii IV, 2nd half of the 13th century
Scope and Contents
The second text of MS 300 is a copy of the thirty-seven of the the forty-two decrees of Innocent IV, printed by Mansi, Conciclia, xxiii. 652-74 after the bull Cum nuper of 1245. The decrees absent from this copy are nos. (7) Grandi non, (23) Ad apostolicae, (24) Abbate sane, (30) Non solum, (41) Dilecto...Praeterea cum. No. (33) preceds no. (32). No. (27), Cum suffraganeorum, is much longer than in edition, continuing after appellandum, 'ad archidiaconos uero aliisque inferioribus prelatis...remittere non postponat'. No (28), quia cunctis, is addressed 'Dilecto filio andree capellano nostro'.
The text starts on f. 274r with the words 'De rescriptis. Cum in multis juris articulis infinitas reprobetur...', and ends on f. 282r with 'derogari. Expliciunt noue constitutciones.
Art. 2 is written in several hands, one of them probably the main hand, on a quire, 23, inserted after f. 273r, and on the leaf left blank at the end of quire 27. f. 282v remained blank.
