"This must not happen in Britain", by Harvey Metcalfe, 1955 is about the US practice of stray dogs going straight to vivisectionists and the work of animal rights and anti-vivisection organisations in the US and Canada. Metcalfe stresses that this practice should not happen in Britain and includes articles, newspaper article and correspondence relating to the subject.
There are two first editions of the publication and two second editions, both published in the same year.
Accompanying the publications is a folder of correspondence and newspaper cuttings relating to anti-vivisection in North America.
