Scope and Contents

Nine leaflets which were published by the United Humanitarian League, which was in existence between 1891-1919 and aimed to promote humanitarian qualities such as not intentionaly inflicting pain on any human or animal. These leaflets mainly relate to bringing an end to vivisection.

The leaflets include; "Science versus Ethics, the last experiment" "A Letter to Girls and Boys" "Venturers for Fellowship" "The Use of Animals in Scientific Experiments, Cruelty in our Midst" "Vaccines and Sera, Germ Theory Fallacies" "Whither Are We Bound" "A Variety of Interesting "Things" Treated Upon in Four Books" "Why We Should Not Support Present Cancer Research Methods" An annotated invivation to join the United Humanitarian League.
