Scope and Contents

A collection of letters and pamphlets, which were kept together in original order, relating to the distribution of other animal charities' pamphlets.

1. Correspondence with the United Humanitarian League about the visiting of laboratories and a report in "The Animals' Friend", 1946 2. Correspondence betwen Douglas Hume and Netta Ivory about Hume's publication which the SSPV are unable to distribute. Two copues of Hume's publication "Bechamp or Pasteur? A Lost Chapter in the History of Biology", 1938-1939 3. Letters from Ernest Beckett to the SSPV about his publication "We Pray for Mercy", and its circulation, 1940 4. Letters about Edward Bellingham's book "The Stamper of the Skies", and the SSPV being unable to sell the book at the Dog's Bazaar, 1938 5. A letter from the National Council for Animals' Welfare offering the SSPV the pamphlet "The Writing in the Wall"for distribution, 1933 6. A letter from Harvey Metcalfe about not needing a fresh supply of pamphlets, 1951 7. A newspaper article from The Scotsman, 8th January 1907, "It was Just a Pin Prick", published by the London Anti-Vivisection Society.
