Scope and Contents

Three copies of a report of proceedings at a meeting held under the auspices of the Committee of the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Vivisection, Brains Trust on Natural Methods of Healing. The report contains a transcription of what was said as part of a Brains Trust event whereby members of the public asked questions to the SSPV seeking answers. Questions include, is vivisection justifiable, is smoking bad for you, can diseases and infection be cured by the mind alone? All three copies contain handwritten ammendments.

Also included are three pieces of correspondence. Two of which are between Harvey Metcalfe and Lind Af Hageby of the Animal Defence and Anti-Vivisection Society about ammendments made to the report. In addition is a letter from James C. Thompson about not re-printing the Brains Trust report.
