Scope and Contents
Two autographs letters signed from James Matthew Barrie to Katherine Murray Horner. One letter is written when she is Barrie’s neighbour in his native Kirriemuir (dated 8 September [1893]), the other to her home at 9 Cornwall Gardens, South Kensington: "Yes, delighted. [...] I am struggling with a love scene. If it wins I’ll send it in my place. Yours ever [...]". (14 May 1897; date from a pencil note, likely by the recipient, inside the envelope flap).
Includes addressed envelope. Further includes an albumen photographic portrait (vintage) of Barrie.
