Autograph letter signed from Douglas Strutt Galton to Katharine Murray Lyell in response to an invitation, [London], 30 January 1893: “Mary Anne is gone down to day to Himbleton, she would otherwise have been very desirous of attending your meeting. – I have an engagement at the Girls Public Day School Company which I must attend, at 3 PM & another soon after 5. – If I can contrive to get to your meeting I will do so, but I am a little doubtful if I shall manage it [...]”.
