Scope and Contents
Correspondence between George Shepperson and Winifred Hollis concerning her late husband George H. Hollis, who was in charge of the Churches of Christ Mission at Namiwawa, Nyasaland, between 1908 and 1915. Includes a questionnaire and photographs of the mission.
- Letter from George Shepperson to Mrs Hollis, Capetown. Introduces himself. Asks if she would be willing to answer questions on the days she and her husband spent in Nyasaland. 16 March 1955.
- Letter from Mrs Winifred Hollis to George Shepperson. Mrs Hollis is willing to answer specific questions. 4 May 1955.
- List of questions sent by George Shepperson to Mrs Hollis. 11 May 1955.
- Questionnaire is returned. Mrs Hollis has answered as many questions as she could. She has passed on the extra list [to F. L. Hadfield?]. 30 May 1955.
- Photographs of the Namiwawa mission and its people in the early 20th century. Includes a picture of George Hollis and his first wife Helen Bowles.
- Certificate of Discharge of G. H. Hollis, Trooper, Bushfeldt Carbineers, 1907.
- According to a note, Mr Hollis spent nearly a year in Bulawayo assisting Mr Hadfield in mission work.
