- Letter from C. L. R. James to Professor George Shepperson, Edinburgh. He talks of his project to write memoirs of George Padmore, and thanks George Shepperson for his review of his writing. He believes a good review is valuable and this one had a great effect among the people of the University of Ibadan. At present, he is working on memoirs of George Padmore. Asks Professor Shepperson if he would recommend a journal that would pay something for an article. He does an enormous of work, writing and speaking, but has to spend the little amount of money he makes. It is only his work as a cricket correspondent that allows him to do this. London, 8 May 1968.
