Scope and Contents Most likely a facsimile of an engraving portrait of Allan Ramsay. The poet aged 39, painted by Aikman in 1723, "Allan Ramsay - William Aikman (pinxit), William Howison (sculpit). Published by Blackie & Son, Glasgow, Edinburgh & London." The picture has a rounded top and has obviously been removed from a book. Geddes employed Henbest Capper and Sydney Mitchell to create the Ramsay Garden complex for use as student and lecturer's residences. It accommodated a large flat for himself and...
