Scope and Contents
Notebook written in at least three hands, primarily in Latin. Dated 1677. Contents includes:
- A list of Latin words with English translations
- Latin-English translation exercises at phrase and sentence level
- Quotations from classical authors, including Cicero and Virgil
- Drawings of Ajax and Ulysses by a student of Robert Baylie
- Geography exercises listing regions in Europe and Africa
Item is a quarto volume bound in dark leather, with 144 unnumbered pages. Boards are made of layered paper, and are incredibly fragile.
