"This woman is rather hysterical and nervy, was very nervous during the war, draws attention to herself at meetings, has a very shrill artificial laugh which is always trilling out. Rather affected. Wears peculiar arty clothes and has a sort of 1920 hair do. Talked a lot of rubbish during the war - her husband had an awful time with her. Husband has been an excellent informant but is a bit of an old wife, fussy, looks like an indignant rabbit."

Whole family sleep in one bed; she is a neglectful mother - e.g. children had enteritis through being allowed to drink from an overflowing drain. [Male informant] says this girl is quite reasonable and intelligent. Made a forced marriage."
